Each year we hold a club tournament for members:
  • Ladies and Men's singles
  • Ladies, Men's and Mixed Doubles (where you chose your own partner)
  • Ladies and Men's Drawn Doubles (where your partners are picked from a hat)
  • Juniors - Hopefully there will be many more junior age group events this year. You may enter 2 consecutive age groups, e.g., 12U and 14U. 8U, 9U and possibly 10U will be organised as a one day event, depending on numbers.

First round losers are placed in a consolation draw, so that everyone has at least 2 matches in each event. Should there be too few players in the draw, it will not be a viable event and will therefore not progress past the first round.

Previous years winners (at the new venue) have now been added to a 'Roll of Honour' (see below), there are also photos from previous years in our gallery. In all of the tournaments the results will be sent to the LTA so that they will count towards your personal rating. Enjoy your games.

It was so good to see so many club members with their families supporting the players involved in the Finals and enjoying the BBQ.

The Finals were most definitely worth watching with many very close matches.

The singles matches were well contested, with 3 of them lasting over 2 hours.

David May once again retained the men’s title this time against a new member, Ryan Carson.  Ryan’s speed around the court meant that David had to work harder. The match was close and well fought, David’s power eventually winning through.

The Ladies final was also a close contest and proved to be the longest match of the day, with Emma Cox winning in a third set tie break over Juliet Wragg. Another great match for the spectators.

The doubles matches were also of a high standard and very entertaining for the spectators.

David May teamed up with Simon Taylor to win his second title of the day in a tight 2 set match.

Juliet Wragg and Helen Judd lost the first set but managed to win the match against Emma and Lisa Cox in the next 2 tie breaks. A really close contest.

Emma was then also involved in her third match of the day in the mixed final with Dane Marshall against Paul Hancock and Cathy Barnes. Once again this was decided by a third set tie break, with Paul and Cathy the eventual winners.

The 18U Boys final was also closely contested, with Angelo Augustine winning for the 2nd consecutive year.

14U Matthew Cowen proved too strong for Sebastian Jones as did Jack Howard in the 12U event.

This year, more juniors were involved in the tournament, with the 8U and 9U events taking place in July.

Shay Walsh won all his matches in the 8U event and Connor Simpson also won all his matches in the 9U event.

Very well done to all the players in the finals for providing an extremely enjoyable spectacle for club members to enjoy. Thanks too to all those who entered the competition.

Photos from the finals day will be added to the gallery below shortly.
